Destination
Washington, Kansas -- The City of Washington is located 60 miles northwest of Manhattan or 120 miles west of St. Joseph, Missouri at the intersection of Highways 36 & 15.  If you wish to fly in commercially, both Kansas City Missouri and Wichita Kansas are about 2.5 hours from your final destination.  

Accommodations
Washington supports two motels that have been accommodating hunters for years.  Rooms cost $45 - $55 per night.

Booking Information
All Reservations are on a first come first served basis.  You should make reservations well in advance.  We require a $ 1500.00 deposit to confirm reservations for Whitetail deer hunting.  The application dates to apply for a Kansas deer tag for 2008 season is May 1 2008 through May 31 2008.  Kansas is a draw state.  You may obtain your own permits, or we will assist you in getting your application in on time and filled out correctly for the Whitetail draw for the 2008 season.  If you are unsuccessful in the whitetail draw, your deposit will be cheerfully refunded or applied to another hunt should you wish. 

A $ 300.00 deposit is required to save you a spot to turkey hunt.  Again, reservations should be made well in advance.  All other reservations require a 50% deposit in advance with balance due upon arrival.

While hunting in Kansas you must have a hunting license plus your big game permit. (deer and turkey )  The hunting license is good for the current calendar year and entitles you to hunt game birds and other small game.  I encourage you to bring along your shotgun, so that you can shoot some game birds after you have taken your deer.
